Obtaining an Injunction Solicitors
Blanchardstown, Castleknock, Dublin City Centre
Getting an Injunction, what is it?
Injunctions are sought to protect a legal right where damages for a breach of that right are not an adequate remedy.
Quite often injunctions are sought at the same time as the initial application seeking Judicial Review but they can be sought in any court proceedings. In its very simplest form, an injunction is a legal remedy either forcing another party to stop doing something or to perform a legal duty.
Typical types of injunctions include;
- preventing trespass, picketing, breach of copyright
- allowing a person to remain in employment
- enforcement of contractual duties
- freezing assets
- preventing libel and defamation
